How had the Kvalitář concept begun? Have you seen the place already? In the past, fine art was created in contact with building interiors and exteriors. Today, this environment seems to have lost its dominant position. To put it simply, it may be claimed that art has moved into galleries, museums or specifically staged public space. In these institutions, fine art projects become property of everyone and no one at the same time. The cold exhibition space and the forced-by-the-circumstances quiet collective contemplation deprive us of the capacity to perceive art individually or even as our own direct imprint or the one of the owner. We have become accustomed to encountering art in galleries, while we prefer to put Ikea wallpapers above the bed. We like art but we do not allow artists in our homes. According to the Kvalitář Gallery, this situation is unbearable, thus offering a possibility how to become closer again to fine art, architecture and design…
